Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day

Yay, it's here. I love  Giveaway Day.  I have met so many amazing people through Giveaway Day in the past and found so many new blogs.  If you are new to my blog Welcome, and I hope you stay around for a while.

I am giving away some of the leftovers from my Bliss quilt.  There are 7 pieces of fabric with most of them measuring about 11" x 22". I just adore this range and it is probably one of my fav ranges of all time. There is also a limited edition pack of silk thread from Dinky Dyes, an Australian hand dyed thread designer.

All you have to do to have a chance at winning this is to tell me
where one of your favourite places is and why?
I love travelling and am always on the lookout for new places to go. We try to go overseas every year...sometimes twice a year!

If you are a new or regular follower you get an extra chance, so be sure to leave a second comment, letting me know if you are. I will post internationally as well.

Have fun blog hopping!

I loved the motorcycle holiday I took in the canary islands - if you get out of the tourist areas, it's a wonderful place! On Tenerife there are so many different ecosystems on one island, you can ride from desert to jungle and then through snow in the mountain all in a day!

  171. I love the Barrington Tops & Dungog in the foot hills in NSW Australia. It is where I spent the longest part of my Childhood and early adulthood. It is surrounded by so many beautiful little hidden secrets. It is a great place to retreat and recharge or to go on an amazing adventure.

I will always have a special place in my heart for Crete (god help them with the economy troubles right now) with the rugged countryside, the food, the people, the Ouzo! But if you are looking for something really different, I reccommend Austria, either in winter or summer. Winter has the picturesque views into Bad Hofgastein with all the trimmings, and summer has the hiking and lush green nature, cows with bells that you can hear from the alps. Year round, there is Felzen Bad, or felzen therme, hot springs pools where you can swim out under the stars (or inside) and go to saunas and jacuzzi while it snows (in winter time). Now I want to go!
